Hi, I'm Cami — a native French speaker who grew up in Switzerland, starting at CU Boulder this fall in Communication, with minors in Journalism & French. I tutor French for all ages and levels — conversation, school & university coursework, and exam prep — in person around Boulder–Denver or online anywhere.
Not textbook French recited by rote — the living language, from someone who grew up in it and knows how to pass it on. Here's what that means for you.
I grew up speaking French in Switzerland — so you learn real pronunciation, real expressions, and how French actually sounds, not just what's in the book.
From a child's first words to an adult picking it back up, complete beginner to nearly fluent — every lesson meets you exactly where you are.
Conversation, school and university coursework, or exam prep (AP, placement) — relaxed but structured, and shaped around what you actually need.
I grew up speaking French in Switzerland, and I earned my school's English poetry prize as a native French speaker — so I know both the language and how to teach it across cultures. I tutor conversational French, help with school and university coursework, and prepare students for exams.
Lessons are relaxed but structured, tailored to your goals, and available in person around Boulder–Denver or online by video anywhere.
Most people here call me Cami — it's easier to say, and I like it. I grew up in Switzerland speaking French, then moved to Colorado and fell in love with English along the way — enough to win my school's English poetry prize as a non-native speaker. This fall I'm starting at CU Boulder, studying Communication with minors in Journalism and French.
Teaching French is what I love most — sharing a language I grew up in, and watching it click for someone else. Having learned English myself, I know what the hard parts feel like from the inside. Whatever your goal, you'll get someone reliable, warm, and easy to reach. I'm also Red Cross certified in first aid and CPR, in Switzerland and here in the US.
In person around these areas — and French tutoring online anywhere. Not sure if you're in range? Just ask.
French tutoring is my main focus — but I also take a small number of babysitting and pet-care bookings, with the same care and reliability.

Ask about it →We start with a quick chat about your goals and level, then I build lessons around them — conversation, grammar, coursework, or exam prep. Lessons run in person around Boulder–Denver or online by video. I teach all ages, from young children to adults.
French tutoring is $30–50/hour depending on level and format; babysitting is $20–30/hour; pet care is $20–35 per walk or visit. Payment is easy via Venmo, Zelle, or cash. Ask about package rates for regular lessons or weekly dog walks.
Yes — alongside French, I can help with Spanish and general schoolwork during babysitting. If you'd like, I can weave a little French or Spanish into the kids' time in a fun, low-pressure way.
Yes — Peaks & Paws carries pet-care liability coverage. Current rabies vaccination is required, and we care for one household's dogs at a time, never a mixed pack. We'll meet your dog first at a free intro.
We start with a short call or message about your goals. First in-person lessons happen in a public place — Norlin Library on the CU campus, Boulder Public Library, or a busy café — or online by video. After that I can also come to your home. For students under 18, a parent or guardian stays in the home during the lesson, and I keep a parent on every text and email thread. It keeps things clear and comfortable for everyone.
I work across the Boulder–Denver corridor — Broomfield, Boulder, Louisville, Lafayette, Superior, Westminster, and nearby. French tutoring is also available online anywhere. If you're a little outside these areas, just ask.
Send a quick message and I'll get back to you within a day — French lessons first and foremost, plus babysitting or pet care if you need them.
